I’m a US citizen that wants to move to UK & get a job. How can I get them to hire me if I’m not UK resident?

Question by sammdaria: I’m a US citizen that wants to move to UK & get a job. How can I get them to hire me if I’m not UK resident?
I have my bachelors degree, I’m 25 & single. I looked into the HSMP prog and I didn’t earn enough points. So now I’ll have to get a work offer from a UK employer in order to work over there. I’m assuming most employers won’t waste the time/money to bring me over there, but if I just pick up and move over there, I won’t be able to work legally. This is a dream of mine! What do I do? Are there certain employers that bring people overseas? Is there a pipeline where US residents can send their CV’s to get hired by UK employers? What can I do to make myself stand out among all the online resumes?

  1. I don’t know but I must respond to you wonderful dream. I have health problems and the “Sicko” healthcare system has me over a barrel, so I can live out my dream like you. You are only 25 and single so it is just a matter of time.

Congratulations in advance. This great experiment in government has completely turned sour. I watch BBC and Brit coms frequently because my people emigrated to America many generations ago but the culture and values and traditions are still intact. I would love to do what you can do.
