Want my Indian bf to stay in UK?

Question by Lolly9: Want my Indian bf to stay in England?
My bf is here with me on 6 month visitors visa. We want to stay together and he is trying to get an IT job whereby a firm will sponsor him. He does not have enough points for HSMP visa. Trouble is, agencies say, you need work permit to apply BUT we cannot get the work permit w ithout a job offer. We really want to stay together. Is there anyway we can extend the visitors visa (apart from him being ill) or any ideas on IT firms that are willing to sponsor commonwealth citizens for work permit. Alternatively, is there any way of getting a work permit without a job offer. We are getting desperate. Keep trying to do things properly but coming up against brick walls. Thank you.

The first thing that comes to mind is a spouse Visa, then he would be entitled to work for two years before reapplying.

The only other way I can thing of is a student Visa. he will be able to work for 20 hours a week.

If he doesn’t qualify for a HSMP visa then a doubt you’ll be able to find a company that can prove he is better than the locals, especially in IT were the market is already full.

Which countries are good for indian IT professionals (8 yrs exp. in Java/J2EE technologies -B.E. Qualifide)?

Question by ForGood: Which countries are good for indian IT professionals (8 yrs exp. in Java/J2EE technologies -B.E. Qualifide)?
I am a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics from India with 8+ years of experience in Java/J2EE based web applications. I could not get US H1B and have a UK HSMP visa valid till April-2010 but may not be able to travel to UK.
But, I want to explore other opportunities in other countries which have good job opportunities for my profile, good place for Indians and most importantly easier to get Visa (individual visa). I do not wish to approach an agency or prospective employer as either the charge is high or there is contract – in both cases we may be the losers.
Please provide the appropriate info and links which I can use to explore more.

Usually the best places for an IT career are US and UK.

If you missed the both then think about Australia, but again the process in legthy.

Dubai Internet City in UAE could have been a good option but its burst down in these economic crisis.

Think about getting a Danish Green Card ( http://www.nyidanmark.dk/en-us/coming_to_dk/work/greencard-scheme/greencard-scheme.htm ), processing time is just 2/3 months and is rich in oppurtunities

Good Luck !!

Of course it’s fake!!! This is a phishing scam… set up to get both money and other personal & banking information from people who fall for it. Seriously… Did you send these people a letter? Did you apply for a job with this company? I bet the answer is no to both. Read that letter again. It’s very poorly written, with poor English skills and even worse grammar. Do you really think some legitimate company would send a letter like that? Does any company ask you to pay them in order to work for them? Of course not! You can just mark it as spam, or you can forward it to Yahoo.

Why Britons leave the UK?

Question by mcendless: Why Britons leave the England?
I was living in the US for 6+ yrs and recently got my Green Card. I consider to give it up and move to the England (using HSMP scheme) which seems to be a more vibrant place to live and work these days. I am a 34 y.o. Computer Scientist, have a wife and two very young kids. However, I am puzzled reading in news that Britons are leaving their country by thousands. Can someone suggest what is wrong with life in the England so that so many are leaving? It seems unlikely that they are leaving just because the weather is not very hot (which I’d rather consider a plus).

You are mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“I am supposed to get married to a guy living in the England”

What is his name? How long have you both been together? And if this is an internet relationship it would be a big scam.

Please give more details off your relationship.

I’m a US citizen that wants to move to UK & get a job. How can I get them to hire me if I’m not UK resident?

Question by sammdaria: I’m a US citizen that wants to move to UK & get a job. How can I get them to hire me if I’m not UK resident?
I have my bachelors degree, I’m 25 & single. I looked into the HSMP prog and I didn’t earn enough points. So now I’ll have to get a work offer from a UK employer in order to work over there. I’m assuming most employers won’t waste the time/money to bring me over there, but if I just pick up and move over there, I won’t be able to work legally. This is a dream of mine! What do I do? Are there certain employers that bring people overseas? Is there a pipeline where US residents can send their CV’s to get hired by UK employers? What can I do to make myself stand out among all the online resumes?

UK dependent visa question.?

Question by Saeed: England dependent visa question.?
+ what is the child accompany age limit to travel England?
+ my sister is almost 19 years old. can she travel alone?
she already visited England (for five months) in 2008 along with her husband and at that time it was written on her visa that she can ONLY travel with her husband. Her husband is living in England since 2005. His Visa status is HSMP and valid till Feb 2013.
+ She is almost 19. Can she apply for a England Dependent visa? Or again she had to apply for Visit Visa like she did before in 2008.
+ Whats the visa processing time of England Dependent Visa and Visit Visa if applying from Pakistan?

I will appreciate if someone can answer these question along with the England Law references.
Thank you very much for your time and support!

Best answer:

Answer by Ehsan
ok

yes your sister can travel alone
she can apply for a dependent visa but only if her husband and she can support themselves without goverment funds, so no child benefits or income support etc and that her husband has enough room to accomodate her.

Tier 1 HSMP Dependants and Family Members.
Your dependants can be added to your Tier 1 HSMP Visa at the time of application and they will all have to complete a Tier 1 HSMP Dependant application form.

Hi Guys Help me Is this marriage work ?

Question by blu u: Hi Guys Help me Is this marriage work ?
I got married 8 months ago and living in London. I stayed with my wife for 15 days after my marriage. She was polite initially but after her dependent visa refusal she changed a lot. Now she is very much short tempered. I tried every mean to bring her to UK but nothing worked. Now she is interested in MBA so we are applying for student visa. But things are worse now, she hangup phone on me.Start shouting but sometime my fault as well. My parents didn’t care about my wife and never gave her gift for any occasion. After i left she never been to my house and staying with her parents. Now we need £9000 for her study .I asked her for help she agreed to give £3000. Now I have to arrange £6000. I got married through the internet after talking with a girl for 10 months. I went to India and got married in just a span of 15 days. The only good thing of our marriage is she calls me in the evening and i call her in morning. But I am stressed these days and it’s affecting my job ,reputation, health and making me mentally sick.

She is living in India and getting good salary. I believe she must be under pressure as a boy married and left her for a while but everyday I call her 4-5 times.

It’s my fault i haven’t been to India from last 8 months. She is living with her parents and now moving to another city.
She says I have good job in India why i come to UK. There was no dowry in the marriage. It was my fault in sumitting her dependent visa documents. I am on hsmp and next year apply for Permanent resident.

this is why sometimes you have to think things out before you do them. you must plan. i’m sure you already know this now, but hey, if you want to make the marriage work, i think you are going to have to move to india.
